Description
The CIPPY is a durable, high-heat thermoplastic replacement designed for the popular BBWSG-16 gas lens system. It serves as an excellent, shatter-resistant alternative to standard glass cups. If you have a BBWSG-16 with broken glass, this unit is the perfect upgrade to get you back to welding without the risk of breakage.
Performance & Application Designed primarily for light, thin-gauge fabrication, the CIPPY is rated for 150–200 DC Amps (using 3/32″ tungsten). While the thermoplastic construction is robust, it is positioned far enough from the arc to withstand normal operation, provided the operator avoids extreme heat soak.
Important Usage Guidelines:

DC ONLY: This cup is strictly for DC TIG applications.

NO WALKING: Do not “walk the cup.” Unlike ceramic or glass, the thermoplastic will melt if it comes into direct contact with hot metal parts or the weld bead.

Heat Management: To ensure longevity, avoid exposing the cup to extreme heat for prolonged periods.
Installation: Installs exactly like the original replacement glass and comes with the necessary O-ring for a secure fit.
